3d CGI Artist and Product Designer Matt Goatley here. I make models both in CGI or 3d, as well as large scale models which are produced by hand, 3d printing and CNC machining.

I have been a freelance designer and marketing artist for about 20 years. Wow it sounds like a really long time when I read it on here! The creative times have flown past with a bewildering array of creative works from adverts, TV, Film and 3d video animation. I don’t like making things unless it’s something I’m passionate about. Sorry!

The images here are just examples of High Definition renders produced using various bits of software. Cinema 4d, Fusion 360, Plasticity, Octane Renderer and Photoshop. The car is a DeTomaso Pantera. I started producing Automotive are on computers in the 1980’s when my parents purchased an Amstrad 464. This computer came with a light pen and drawing software! I was hooked immediately. I graduated to 3d in the early 90’s. Only now am I finally able to produce the things I always wanted…

I graduated graphic design college in 1995 and got lucky being accepted on a foundation course at the University of Westminster. After finishing my degree in 1999 I was lucky enough to work under some great designers and creatives.

I took a break from Design a few times in my life. I found my self working full-time in the music industry and moonlighting as a Video Camera Operator. I have worked professionally as a sound engineer, a motion graphics artist, a 3d designer, a website designer and a video editor. I even did a stint retouching photography. I have been very lucky to build up my skills under very talented people in a various industries. I hope you like my work.
